My current Web 2.0 toolbag

Twitter is fantastic for finding the latest resources. However, still have tweeting stage fright, and getting grip on retweet, hashtag etc. Also, need system for managing learning more time effectively for term time.

1. Blogging – wordpress.com and to post media to blog – vodpod; Blog now sends notice of new blog posts to twitter and yahoo pipes

2. Bookmarking – diigo also sends bookmarks to delicious

3. Browser-firefox

4. Document storage online- google docs

5. Email – gmail, also yahoo mail, work- Outlook

6. Email signature and social network accounts – wisestamp, linkedin, visual cv

7. Link previews – Snap-shots

8. Logins and passwords – Lastpass

9. Microblogging – twitter accessed via kutano, have been invited to google wave

10. Photos – edit and compress – paint.net, vso

11. Photos – store online –flickr, photobucket

12. Post online from email or anywhere – posterous NEW

13. Post online video – slideboom– especially for powerpoints with animation, slideshare, youtube,

14. Presentations – want to try prezi, but so far animoto, slide.com, photostory, moviemaker

15. Reading – been a while between updates- Librarything

16. RSS feeds- netvibes – now start/home page

17. Searching and maps – google– love the option- “last year” to restrict searches

    Thanks for linking to my blog post on blogging, microblogging, webstreaming.

    Since you mention photo management, you might also like the recent post on digital photos: capturing, archiving, printing, web sharing, photoblogging.

    If I read right, you’re in Brisbane. I was at UQ this past summer with the ISSS meeting, so the street names are vaguely familiar.
