A new year begins…

Here are some interesting ideas about the future of libraries to include in beginning of year planning.

These WERE our 2010 ibrary goals, so will need to see how they fit with these ideas.
1. Maintain high level of library promotions and displays – competitions, bookweek etc
2. Better communication of Library services – teachers – online,lending, procedures, moodle, reading lists, Potter/McAuley-combined approach, induction
3. Improve reading program – more book clubs, reading lists, English Dept
4. Crowd control – better use of Library facilities
5. Printing from netbooks
6. Online video resources – Clickview
7. Extend information literacy program – State Library, moodle, 23 things, Web 2.0 digital footprint
8. Research impact and implications of netbooks on Library program
9. Plan new SSC
10. Other eg. Archives, Sharepoint, new staff
